Mobile Applications

For my final year project I am developing an Android application aimed at helping marine mammal observers track the movements of cetaceans near areas of interest.

Throughout the development I may produce small apps that I’ll publish for free on the Google Play Store. I will list them below along with links to download them, hopefully someone will find them interesting or useful!

Sensor List

This basic app was developed through a need to find out exactly which models of sensors were in the device that I would be using for my my project, so that I could get the datasheets for them. Upon launching the app, a list of each sensor’s name/model number, manufacturer, resolution and power consumption (I’m not sure how accurate this is but the SensorManager API supplies a figure in mA so I decided to include it in case it’s useful for someone). In addition, by opening up the options menu it is possible to save all of this information as a text file.

To download please go to: Download Sensor List.
